Our Young Savants Study Halls are designed to foster our common thread of togetherness. During study halls, YS Alumni come back and give back by tutoring! Also, our older young savants tutor their younger program members. In short, a YS Study Hall is all about coming together to provide young minds a place where their aspirations to be the very best student they can be on the court, in the class room, and beyond in life are encouraged, inspired, and uplifted! Why? Because Young Savants is only about basketball as far as it is the common denominator, the embracer that brings the team together. It is a vehicle, a class room, a college under one university to teach each student the leadership skills they will need to inform their decisions as adults. Children are constantly observing where adults place their points of emphasis, their values. Religion uses parables and mythology. Young Savants uses basketball. And students often respond to basketball today for a brighter tomorrow.
